STALL HOLDERS
STALL HOLDERS
INFORMATION
Limited space left - but the following stalls are in demand! Local Craftspeople / New Designers / Health Food / Local Musicians & Performing Artists! Unfortunately there is currently no space whatsoever for jewellery, cakes, or preserves at any of the markets.
All stall holders will need to provide their own tables, and if outdoors, a canopy. Gazebos need to be weighted down to prevent accidents and blowing away!
We will endeavoring to be a plastic bag free zone. All stall holders are to try and use paper or canvas bags or biodegradable products to sell their wares in.
All stall-holders need to adhere to the relevant legislation, including the following:
Sale of Goods Act, Trade Descriptions Act, Social Security Act (NIC Contributions), Product Liability, Public Liability, and others, which affect some traders, include: Food Hygiene Regulations, VAT Registration, and Registration of Businesses.
It is your personal responsibility to ensure you trade legally and safely at all times.
Options for insurance can be found at http://www.nmtf.co.uk or http://www.gmisl.co.uk/ I am not affiliated with either of these companies, I was just being asked a lot for who did this kind of insurance so I found them!
Pre booked pitches outside and also the single pitches inside are £20 if booked more than a week before the date of the market. Outside traders have more space to make up for having no protection! For traders paying on the day, all certificates must be produced before setup and the pitch price is £25 cash.
All electrical items to be plugged into the floor boxes in the barn must be new or PAT tested and labelled as such (can be obtained from Electrical Inspection and Testing in Yellow Pages). An electrical pitch must be agreed and booked in advance.
Set up is from 8.30am, no access to the barn is available before this. Stall holders arriving after 9.30am will lose their allocated pitch and may be moved to a less favourable pitch. I am having to do this due to a number of traders arriving late and making me panic about my floor plan!
Presentation is very important, as is customer service!
